Lab on a Chip International Symposium: Droplet-based Microfluidics
12 - 13 November 2016, Hangzhou,
Droplet-based microfluidics has emerged as one of the most active research fields in microfluidics. This Symposium is co-organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China and Zhejiang University.
This high-quality international symposium will bring together leading experts in all fields of droplet-based microfluidics from all around the world. We fully believe that all the presentations in this symposium will stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences amongst all the participants. There will be four sequential sessions during the course of the two days with plenty of opportunities for discussion and interaction. The topics of the whole symposium include:
Fundamental theory and modelling of multiphase microfluidics
Novel microfluidic droplet manipulation technology
Novel methodology for droplet-based microfluidic analysis and screening
Droplet-based microfluidic single cell and single molecule analysis
Combination of droplet-based microfluidics with various detection techniques: mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, electrochemistry, capillary electrophoresis, chromatography, etc.
Application of droplet-based microfluidic systems in chemistry, biology, medicine, and drug development
The symposium is supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China and the Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University, and chaired by Prof Qun Fang from Zhejiang University and co-chaired by Prof Aaron Wheeler from the University of Toronto.
Online registration in advance is required to attend this symposium. In addition, poster presentations from students and early-career researchers are highly encouraged, and the best poster presenters will be awarded poster prizes.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Lab on a Chip International Symposium: Droplet-based Microfluidics in Hangzhou,
