He received his Ph.D. degree from Department of Chemistry at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in January 2008. In 2007, he received Hong Kong Young Scientist Award from Hong Kong Institution of Science. The award was given in recognition of young people’s research excellence in science and their potential of becoming good research scholars.
