为了更好地提高我校师生色谱分析水平，特邀请美国著名分析化学家Purnendu Dasgupta 教授来我校进行交流访问，并带来色谱方面的学术报告，欢迎全校师生参加。 讲座题目 ：Ion Chromatography from Small to Small 讲座时间：2007 年9月28日（星期五）上午10：00 讲座地点 ：紫金港化学实验大楼 319 室 讲座内容： The invention of suppressed conductometric ion chromatography (IC) by Small et al. in 1975 constituted a milestone in analytical chemistry. Today virtually all anion determinations are carried out by IC.The modern practitioner does not have to prepare eluents or acid/base solutions to regenerate columns and ppb level analysis routine. Electrodialysis plays key roles in eluent generation, purification and selective removal in the modern practice of IC. Ingenious recycle/reflux methods have been advanced that permit indefinite recycling. Very weak acid ions are not only amenable to analysis, it is possible to estimate a priori pKa and equivalent conductance values from multidimensional conductivity detection and thus provide ion identity from evidence other than retention time. IC is now routinely deployed as a process instrument in the semiconductor/nuclear power/chemical industries. It has been deployed from capillary scale to monolithic columns with large flow rates to achieve sub-minute separations of common anions. Purnendu K.
