Welcome to Jie Fan’s laboratory
at Chemistry Department of Zhejiang University.
Our research interests
are primarily associated with molecular assembly of multi-functional
materials, and the exploration of their potentials in biotechnology
and energy conversion. Future research directions will be concerned
with the synthesis of mesostructured materials via supermolecular
self-assembly with inorganic building blocks, and fabrication of
bio-nano devices, such as bio-sensors and bio-catalytic reactors.
Another main direction is the reforming of short alkanes (e.g.
methane) to produce liquid chemical feedstock.

Dear Prospective Students:
Thank you for taking the time to view our website. On
behalf of our research group, I invite you to consider our ongoing
projects, and feel free to contact me regarding future opportunities
for pursuing your Ph.D. studies at ZJU.
Students in the group will usually get involved in a
multitude of projects during their graduate school careers. One can
anticipate gaining experience in several areas of research,
including inorganic synthesis, material characterization,
heterogeneous catalysis, and bio-immobilization and catalysis.
Should our programs
interest you further, you are very welcome to apply and visit us
in Hangzhou.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jie Fan
