The Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University sent 8 undergraduates to the North Carolina State University for summer research and training activities. They are Jie Wang, Han Su, Zongwei Huang, Chengkai Xu, Liwei Zhang, Junyi Lin, Hongyu Zhang and Qijun Wang. Eight students flew over the Pacific Ocean to Raleigh, North Carolina, and they immediately plunged into the laboratory with high morale and burning enthusiasm.
The Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University attached great importance to training abroad, and had built a broad platform for undergraduates to better contact with foreign scientific research, paving the way for future development and road selection.
During the period, the Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University attached great importance to the study and life of the students during their stay in the United States, and kept close contact with the students in order to provide prompt and effective help. Professor Yingchun Liu from the Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University made a special trip to Raleigh to visit us in late August, and held a symposium and dinner to understand the students' real-time trends in the United States. She particularly emphasized that in the future, more students could be sent to these excellent universities to open up their horizons and experience life. In addition, after listening to the brief research reports of the students, Professor Yingchun Liu expressed his high recognition for the achievements and progress of the students in the past two months, especially the students' ability to adapt to foreign countries.
In addition to scientific research and training, the event also provided an excellent opportunity for students to experience the United States and feel the United States. The students used weekends to visit museums, art galleries, and even visit famous cities such as New York and Los Angeles to broaden their horizons and grow their experience.
Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Chemistry of Zhejiang University for the opportunity to exchange, the teachers and students of the Chemistry Department of Zhejiang University for their support and assistance, and the Department of Chemistry of North Carolina State University, especially Professor Stefan Franzen and the advisors. The hospitality of the professor and the careful guidance.
